“I had totally lost hope of attaining my higher education because my father was unable to raise tuition for the University. I was requested to end at senior six so as to create a chance for my siblings to also at least know how to read and write. And so, I am really grateful for your empowerment”.

My name is Asiimwe Samary, a FAWE beneficiary from 2018 -2022, second cohort.  I want to first extend my sincere gratitude to FAWE Uganda for the great support it contributed to my studies. I also want to thank God for bringing our beloved sponsors to Uganda because they have really touched and saved people’s lives through the services they render.  I am really grateful that I am now a qualified teacher of English.

I had totally lost hope of attaining my higher education because my father was unable to raise tuition for the University. I was requested to end at senior six so as to create a chance for my siblings to also at least know how to read and write.

I would also like to thank you for always organizing tremendous trainings that are always educative and beneficial, For instance, the E.O.P (the Extended orientation Programs); they are always important to the beneficiaries. I have achieved and learnt a lot  through these training for example, when I was at Gulu University for my first E.O.P, they taught us about financial literacy which focused on how one can utilize and make use of money in appropriate manner and through that, I learnt how to save my money  for example from the upkeep FAWE Uganda was giving me as I was studying ,  was able to save some small amount of money and  I bought I big cow worth 1.2m in my first year and it has produced twice as I speak and I again bought one in my third year worth 1m . I am really grateful that your trainings added some good value in my life because I achieved a lot from the training. And I believe, with help of the knowledge gained from the E.O.Ps, I will try my level best to make ends meet in JESUS’S Name.

In addition to the achievements, I have learnt how to give back to my community for example in my first year, I was supporting some four pupils in my village whereby I could buy them books, school bags and this made them happy and I was happy too because I like it when I see my colleagues living a better life.
