Karen Ondwasi is a dynamic professional with expertise in project management, partnership management, policy advocacy, and communications. She brings 5 years of work experience coordinating impactful initiatives across Africa. Karen joins FAWE from Gender is My Agenda Campaign (GIMAC), where she served as Regional Project Coordinator for the She Leads Project to amplify the leadership of girls and young women. She is also the founding Chairperson of the GIMAC Young Women Network, where she coordinated 91 girls and young women networks at grassroots, national, and regional levels. At FAWE, her role will focus on advancing advocacy, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships to promote quality education and gender equality across the continent. She holds a degree in Communications and Public Relations from Moi University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Women, Leadership, and Governance in Africa at the University of Nairobi.
