John is a highly skilled finance professional with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance Option) from the University of Nairobi and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-Section 4). He currently serves as a Finance Assistant at the FAWE Regional Secretariat, where he plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, donor compliance, and robust budget execution across multiple regional programs. With a strong foundation in financial systems and reporting, John provides strategic support to the finance department through:

· Preparation and consolidation of donor financial reports across diverse programmatic portfolios.

· Budget formulation for new project proposals and ongoing initiatives.

· Preparation and processing of payments, ensuring adherence to internal controls and donor requirements.

· Financial analysis and review of country-level accountability reports to track performance, flag anomalies, and support program delivery.

· Reconciliation of receivables and payables within the organization’s financial ERP system.

· Timely and accurate bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

Before joining FAWE, John gained invaluable experience at the Central Bank of Kenya, where he developed a strong background in financial services, public sector finance, and regulatory compliance. His experience in both multilateral donor environments and national financial institutions has equipped him with a well-rounded perspective on financial governance, risk mitigation, and strategic financial planning.
