Dr. Judith Ngalande Lungu obtained her B. Agric. Sci., MSc and PhD in Livestock Reproduction. She has taught at the University of Zambia and the Botswana College of Agriculture.
Dr. Lungu’s research interests are in reproductive hormones, small ruminants, poultry and food security and Gender in agricultural development.
Judith has been Head of Animal Science Department, Dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences and is Deputy Vice Chancellor, Mulungushi University.
She has been Member of the Advisory Committee on Science and Technology for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) in Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), sat on Boards including Bank of Zambia and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Mentor for African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) and Member of the Zambia Academy of Sciences (ZaAS), Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ), Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) and NASAC Women in Science Working Group, University Women.
