Policy Advocacy

  • Participated in review of gender responsiveness of EFA National Plan of Action
  • Participated in review of Girls’ Education National Strategic Plan
  • Participated in National Review of the Social Sector on Health, Education and Social Services.
  • Participated in development of action plans for implementing Zimbabwe’s gender policy

Community Advocacy

  • Coordinated production and airing of “Be In School Radio Campaigns” in Zaka, Buhera, Chegutu and Gokwe regions. 50 children taken back to school as result of the campaign
  • Observed International Women’s Day, Global Campaign For Education, Day of the African Child, World Teachers’ Day and National AIDS Week annually through activities that promote girls’ education
  • Production and distribution of videotapes, radio programmes, banners, posters, calendars and other advocacy material on girls’ education
  • Trained girls to Girls’ Club leaders / teachers better equip to effectively monitor club activities.
  • Developed and printed 5000 Girls’ Education Resource Kit for use in girls’ clubs
