The 12th August 2019 is International Day of Youth under the theme ‘transforming education’.
Twitter Chat
FAWE and partners ( AU Office of the Youth envoy, Africa Youth Trust, Plan RESA, Africa Youth Commission, International Labour Organisation) will conduct a twitter Chat on Friday 9th August 2019 from 12 noon – 1pm Kenyan time on the topic ‘Preparing the youth for the workplace’. FAWE was also given the panelist slot that will be taken by a FAWE Alumni from Gambia called Jariatou Bah. You are encouraged to join the conversation online with the hashtag #YouthandFutureofWork tagging the FAWE twitter handle @RsFawe. See the e-poster attached for your information and publicity.Please feel free to share your views with me on the following twitter chat questions:

Webinar
FAWE and the same partners listed above will conduct a Youtube Webinar on 12th August 2019 at 2pm-3:30pm. Again the FAWE panelist for this session will be a FAWE Rwanda Alumni who is a HR practictioner called Susan Mutesi. She will also make a presentation on ‘Preparing the youth for the workplace’.
UNGEI Campaign
FAWE, UNGEI and partners will on Monday 12th August 2019 launch an online youth campaign dubbed #YouthLeads. this is a camapign that wuill go on till the end of 2020 and is equally expected to target key advocacy gatherings such as the CSW, G7 and beijin Platform of Action. From 12th-18th Youth from all over the globe will share their messages (videos,blogs,facebook live video) to amplify what needs to be done to #TranformEducation.
