As September drew to a close, FAWE Ghana ushered in renewed momentum toward creating pathways of opportunity for young women and men across the country.

As part of the implementation of the Bridging Program under the FAWE/Mastercard Foundation Phase II Program, the FAWE Ghana Chapter, led by Mrs. Marian Tackie, Chairperson of the Board, paid a courtesy visit to Prof. George Oduro, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Education.

During the meeting, Mr. Richard Amoani, Executive Director of FAWE Ghana, presented the overarching vision of the Phase II Program and the transformative potential of the Bridging initiative in addressing gaps within Ghana’s education system. He emphasized the program’s aim to create a second-chance pathway for learners—particularly girls—who face barriers to completing their education, and called for the Ministry’s support in ensuring its successful rollout.

In response, Prof. Oduro commended FAWE Ghana’s efforts and pledged his commitment to advancing the program’s objectives. He underscored the importance of maintaining quality standards in tertiary education while expanding access through innovative solutions like the Bridging Program.

Mrs. Tackie expressed her appreciation for the Ministry’s partnership and reaffirmed FAWE Ghana’s dedication to advancing equitable and inclusive education opportunities.

Together, FAWE Ghana and the Ministry of Education continue to build bridges that connect potential with opportunity—laying the foundation for a future where no learner is left behind.
