In a vibrant celebration of educational empowerment, FAWE Uganda yesterday concluded its transformative Extended Orientation Programme (EOP) with an official closing and awards ceremony proudly officiated by Dr. Martha Muhwezi, the Executive Director of FAWE Africa.
The event marked a significant milestone, as FAWE Uganda awarded bursaries to 700 talented young women and men, providing a critical foundation for their academic journeys and future careers. This substantial investment underscores FAWE’s deep commitment to breaking financial barriers to education.
However, FAWE’s support extends far beyond financial aid. The unique Extended Orientation Programme provides a holistic framework for success, ensuring beneficiaries also receive essential psychosocial support and structured mentorship. This comprehensive approach is designed to equip students with the tools, confidence, and guidance needed not only to thrive in their studies but also to excel in their personal and professional lives beyond the classroom.
The celebrations resonated across the country, taking place simultaneously at three partner institutions: Uganda Technical College Elgon, UTC Lira, and UTC Kichambwa. This multi-location event highlighted the national reach and inclusive spirit of FAWE Uganda’s mission.
This initiative is a powerful testament to FAWE’s unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives and build a more equitable future.
