Dear Partner,

FAWE continues to contribute to this year’s theme for the International Day of the Girl Empowering Adolescent Girls: Ending the Cycle of Violence through the following demonstrative interventions.

FAWE’s comprehensive scholarship packages, which enable bright students from poor backgrounds to enroll in school, stay on to complete the school cycle at all levels, and perform well in national examinations. Over 94,657 students have benefited from FAWE’s bursary programme.

FAWE’s Tuseme (Let us Speak Out) youth empowerment model, which enhances girls’ self-esteem, leadership, social and life skills, and promotes a positive attitude amongst boys towards girls’ education. Tuseme plays a key role in raising girls’ knowledge about their sexual and reproductive health to enable them to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. The story of Faith Meitiaki is proof. Over 112, 789 students have benefited from the Tuseme model.

FAWE’s GRP Model has enable teachers reduce and eliminate violence in the learning environment. GRP in Teachers Training in Malawi ;  the Teachers Training  curricular and  professional module in Ethiopia, and Teachers Training colleges in Uganda all  tell FAWE’s story and effort in eliminating gender based violence in schools in an innovative way.

FAWE’s mothers’ clubs, which enable women to advocate at the grassroots level, mobilize community support, and raise awareness on the socio-economic benefits of girls’ education.

These FAWEs’ interventions confirms that education is the most powerful tool to end the cycle of violence. Education serves as #FAWEGirlsKey for Empowering Adolescent Girls

Through your sustained support, we are able to celebrate and turn on #FAWEGirlsKey that unlocks their bright future free of violence

By sharing your contribution to FAWE to your friends and networks we will ignite the world on how to impact girls’ empowerment in Africa.

Thanks
