FAWE CELEBRATES THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2014

Quality education is a basic right for all. It rests on equal chances and equal treatment for girls and women. The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) employs gender-responsive classroom learning, skills training and personal development programmes to empower African girls and women to thrive, be productive and autonomous, and participate fully in the development of their societies.

Following the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), Equality for Women is Progress for All (UN Women’s announcement); FAWE will join the rest of the world in celebrating the benefits that equality in Education has brought to the women and girls in Africa.
