Penina is responsible for identifying new funding opportunities, pursuing them and successfully listing them as FAWE partners. Her role entails increasing funding of FAWE from different sources, providing technical assistance in resource mobilization to National Chapters and building lasting and beneficial partnerships for FAWE by developing new ones especially with the private sector whilst strengthening existing ones to increase level of funding.
She has more than ten years of experience in development programming and social research and as a trained economist believes in linking praxis and academia for improved livelihoods. Her career has been dedicated towards improving the socio-economic status of women and is credited with institutionalizing groups as socio economic catalysts for rural development.
Penina holds a Masters of Arts in Development Economics and is currently pursuing her PhD.
