Du 24 au 27 octobre 2026, le FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal a franchi une \u00e9tape historique en c\u00e9l\u00e9brant son 30e anniversaire. Ces trois jours d\u2019activit\u00e9s, ax\u00e9s sur la mobilisation, la reconnaissance et l\u2019avenir, ont mis en lumi\u00e8re trois d\u00e9cennies d\u2019action en faveur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation, du leadership et de l\u2019autonomisation des filles et des jeunes femmes.
Les festivit\u00e9s ont d\u00e9but\u00e9 le samedi 24 octobre par un grand\u00a0marche citoyenne pour l'\u00e9ducation des filles<\/strong>, qui a rassembl\u00e9 1 000 participants au d\u00e9part du pont du cimeti\u00e8re de Saint-Lazare \u00e0 Dakar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le lundi 26 octobre, un moment plus intime a \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la\u00a0pr\u00e9sentation et s\u00e9ance de d\u00e9dicaces du livre \u201c De l\u2019ombre \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re : l\u2019envol d\u2019A\u00efcha \u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201c De l'ombre \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re : le parcours d'A\u00efcha \u201d) par Mme Bitty Ba Watt, en pr\u00e9sence des membres du conseil d'administration et des partenaires. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le clou des festivit\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 le\u00a0C\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle et lancement acad\u00e9mique de la premi\u00e8re promotion du programme FAWE-Fondation Mastercard<\/strong>, qui s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e le mardi 27 octobre \u00e0 l'h\u00f4tel Noom (Radisson) de Dakar, en pr\u00e9sence de 300 invit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par\u00a0M. Moustapha Mamba Guirassy, ministre de l'\u00c9ducation nationale<\/strong>, qui a salu\u00e9 l'h\u00e9ritage et l'impact durable de FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. Sa pr\u00e9sence, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de\u00a0M. Elis\u00e9e Kamanzi, repr\u00e9sentant la Fondation Mastercard<\/strong>, a mis en \u00e9vidence la reconnaissance institutionnelle et le soutien renouvel\u00e9 des partenaires envers l\u2019organisation. La Fondation Mastercard, partenaire cl\u00e9 de ce nouveau chapitre, soutient le programme \u201c Pathways to a Second Chance for Better Access to Higher Education for Vulnerable Young Women and Men \u201d (Des parcours vers une seconde chance pour un meilleur acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur pour les jeunes femmes et hommes en situation de vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9). Ce programme ambitieux, mis en \u0153uvre sur sept ans (2024-2030) dans dix pays africains, vise \u00e0 accompagner 10 550 jeunes vers l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur et la formation professionnelle, dont une premi\u00e8re promotion de 350 jeunes au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 l'occasion de rendre un hommage vibrant aux fondateurs, aux anciens dirigeants et aux partenaires historiques, \u00e0 travers une exposition intitul\u00e9e \u201c Empreintes : 30 ans de FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal \u201d et une remise de prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pr\u00e9sence de\u00a0FAWE Afrique<\/strong>\u00a0lors de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, ce geste \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement symbolique, port\u00e9 par\u00a0Le Dr K\u00e9k\u00e9li Jeannine Agounke, membre du conseil d'administration de FAWE Afrique<\/strong>. Sa participation a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la force du r\u00e9seau et l'importance de la solidarit\u00e9 entre les sections nationales et FAWE Afrique.
\u201c L\u2019histoire du FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal est une source d\u2019inspiration pour l\u2019ensemble du r\u00e9seau. Plus nos sections locales se renforcent, plus le r\u00e9seau FAWE dans son ensemble s\u2019en trouve renforc\u00e9. Nous sommes fiers de cet h\u00e9ritage et nous continuerons \u00e0 soutenir et \u00e0 encourager les initiatives qui transforment la vie des filles et des jeunes femmes \u00e0 travers l\u2019Afrique \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0Dr Jeannine Agounke K\u00e9k\u00e9li<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce soutien \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle continentale a \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9 par l'accompagnement continu de la\u00a0Secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional du FAWE<\/strong>, par l'interm\u00e9diaire du Bureau sous-r\u00e9gional du FAWE pour l'Afrique de l'Ouest et l'Afrique centrale (FAWE WASRO), qui a collabor\u00e9 avec le FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal pour assurer le succ\u00e8s de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement et la mise en \u0153uvre du nouveau programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce partenariat technique et financier est essentiel pour garantir la qualit\u00e9 et la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 des actions men\u00e9es sur le terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En c\u00e9l\u00e9brant ses 30 ans, le FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal ne s\u2019est pas content\u00e9 de jeter un regard r\u00e9trospectif ; il a r\u00e9solument tourn\u00e9 son regard vers l\u2019avenir. Le lancement acad\u00e9mique de la premi\u00e8re promotion du programme de bourses incarne cette ambition renouvel\u00e9e : ouvrir la voie \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite et \u00e0 l\u2019autonomie des jeunes, en particulier des filles, des jeunes r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et des personnes en situation de handicap, originaires des r\u00e9gions de K\u00e9dougou, Tambacounda, Kolda, S\u00e9dhiou, Ziguinchor, Matam et Louga. Gr\u00e2ce au mentorat, \u00e0 la formation au leadership et \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 l'emploi, FAWE S\u00e9n\u00e9gal continue d'ouvrir la voie vers un avenir o\u00f9 chaque fille a le droit d'apprendre, de d\u00e9velopper son potentiel et de choisir son avenir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce 30e anniversaire n'est pas une fin, mais un nouveau d\u00e9part, port\u00e9 par la conviction que l'\u00e9ducation des filles est le moteur le plus puissant du d\u00e9veloppement en Afrique.<\/p>\n\n
