C\u2019est l\u00e0 que le Dr Martha Muhwezi, directrice ex\u00e9cutive de FAWE Africa, est mont\u00e9e sur sc\u00e8ne pour animer une session captivante et tourn\u00e9e vers l\u2019avenir intitul\u00e9e \u00ab Sciences, technologies, ing\u00e9nierie et math\u00e9matiques (STEM), innovation et transformation industrielle : la preuve par la pratique \u2014 l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie et les sciences, moteurs du d\u00e9veloppement \u00bb.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette session a r\u00e9uni un ensemble remarquable d\u2019acteurs issus de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me africain de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la recherche et de l\u2019innovation. Parmi les \u00e9minents intervenants figuraient Esther Eshun, chercheuse postdoctorale \u00e0 l\u2019ISSER ; Jalal Charad, pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 polytechnique Mohammed VI (UM6P) ; le professeur Christian Happi, directeur du Centre africain d\u2019excellence pour la g\u00e9nomique des maladies infectieuses (ACEGID) \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 Redeemer\u2019s ; et Patrick Awuah, fondateur et pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019universit\u00e9 Ashesi. Elle a examin\u00e9 comment tirer parti des technologies \u00e9mergentes telles que l\u2019IA, comment approfondir les liens entre la recherche et l\u2019industrie, et comment doter les jeunes des comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires pour stimuler l\u2019innovation et le d\u00e9veloppement durable. Chaque intervenant a apport\u00e9 un point de vue unique, mais un fil conducteur s\u2019est d\u00e9gag\u00e9 de la discussion : la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 urgente pour l\u2019Afrique d\u2019investir dans son propre capital humain et de mettre en place des syst\u00e8mes favorisant l\u2019\u00e9panouissement des talents locaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour le FAWE, les enjeux \u00e9taient clairs. Il restait essentiel de veiller \u00e0 ce que les filles et les jeunes femmes ne se contentent pas de participer \u00e0 ces discussions, mais qu\u2019elles occupent une place centrale au sein de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me africain de l\u2019innovation. Il ne s\u2019agissait pas d\u2019une simple mesure symbolique, mais bien d\u2019une question de strat\u00e9gie. La transformation de l\u2019Afrique d\u00e9pendait de la pleine participation de tous ses talents, ind\u00e9pendamment du genre ou de l\u2019origine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une question forte a \u00e9merg\u00e9 de cette session, une question qui r\u00e9sumait bien le d\u00e9fi auquel le continent est confront\u00e9 : \u201c Qu\u2019est-ce qui a rendu mon parcours possible \u2014 et comment faire en sorte que cela devienne la norme plut\u00f4t que l\u2019exception ? \u201d Cette question est rest\u00e9e en suspens, \u00e0 la fois comme une provocation et un appel \u00e0 l\u2019action. Elle exigeait des dirigeants et des institutions qu\u2019ils aillent au-del\u00e0 de la simple c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des r\u00e9ussites individuelles et qu\u2019ils mettent plut\u00f4t en place des syst\u00e8mes o\u00f9 de telles r\u00e9ussites deviendraient monnaie courante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour d\u00e9velopper le capital humain de l\u2019Afrique, il fallait mettre en place des syst\u00e8mes permettant aux talents, quels que soient leur genre ou leur origine, d\u2019acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des opportunit\u00e9s, de d\u00e9velopper leur potentiel et de contribuer \u00e0 la transformation du continent. Cela exigeait une d\u00e9marche d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e, des investissements et un engagement in\u00e9branlable en faveur de l\u2019inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FAWE Africa \u00e9tait fi\u00e8re de constater que ces \u00e9changes contribuaient \u00e0 faire \u00e9merger une vision commune d\u2019un enseignement sup\u00e9rieur inclusif, innovant et transformateur \u00e0 travers toute l\u2019Afrique.
