SIKASSO, Mali - Le 7 mai, dans le cadre de la mise en \u0153uvre du projet *Appui pour un Environnement Scolaire, Protecteur et Inclusif pour les droits de l'Enfant et le D\u00e9veloppement Durable* (PAES-PIDE), une activit\u00e9 de production de serviettes hygi\u00e9niques r\u00e9utilisables en coton a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e dans le Cercle de Ni\u00e9na, R\u00e9gion de Sikasso. L'initiative a rassembl\u00e9 des filles des \u00e9coles partenaires du projet, qui ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d'une formation pratique \u00e0 la fabrication de serviettes hygi\u00e9niques r\u00e9utilisables \u00e0 l'aide de mat\u00e9riaux locaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au cours de l'atelier, les participantes ont re\u00e7u une formation compl\u00e8te sur la coupe et l'assemblage du tissu de coton absorbant, sur les techniques de couture et de finition, ainsi que sur les meilleures pratiques d'hygi\u00e8ne et d'entretien afin de garantir une utilisation durable et s\u00fbre des produits. Les sessions pratiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ues non seulement pour doter les filles d'une comp\u00e9tence de vie pr\u00e9cieuse, mais aussi pour leur fournir une solution durable et rentable \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me qui a toujours contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l'absent\u00e9isme scolaire dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au-del\u00e0 de la formation technique, des sessions de sensibilisation d\u00e9di\u00e9es ont permis aux animateurs et aux participants d'engager des discussions ouvertes sur la gestion de la sant\u00e9 menstruelle, les droits des filles et l'importance cruciale de rester \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole m\u00eame pendant les menstruations. Ces conversations ont permis de briser le silence et la stigmatisation qui entourent souvent les menstruations dans de nombreuses communaut\u00e9s, tout en renfor\u00e7ant le message selon lequel les r\u00e8gles ne doivent pas \u00eatre un obstacle \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'initiative poursuivait plusieurs objectifs cl\u00e9s : am\u00e9liorer l'acc\u00e8s des filles \u00e0 une protection hygi\u00e9nique appropri\u00e9e et abordable ; renforcer leur autonomie et leur confiance en elles ; r\u00e9duire l'absent\u00e9isme scolaire li\u00e9 aux menstruations ; et promouvoir des solutions durables et \u00e9cologiques qui r\u00e9duisent les d\u00e9chets et la d\u00e9pendance \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard des produits jetables. En combinant l'acquisition de comp\u00e9tences pratiques et la sensibilisation aux droits, l'atelier a abord\u00e9 les dimensions mat\u00e9rielles et psychologiques de la sant\u00e9 menstruelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'intervention du FAWE Mali dans le cadre du projet PAES-PIDE a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une fois de plus que les approches ax\u00e9es sur les filles et ancr\u00e9es localement peuvent produire des avantages imm\u00e9diats et durables pour la r\u00e9tention scolaire et l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes. Les serviettes hygi\u00e9niques r\u00e9utilisables produites par les participantes leur permettront d'aller \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement et avec dignit\u00e9, tandis que les connaissances et la confiance acquises leur serviront bien au-del\u00e0 de la salle de classe. L'atelier a \u00e9galement fait des filles des \u00e9ducatrices potentielles qui peuvent partager leurs comp\u00e9tences et leurs connaissances avec d'autres jeunes femmes de leur communaut\u00e9, multipliant ainsi l'impact de l'initiative.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
