NAIROBI, Kenya - 13 mai 2026 - Le FAWE s'est joint \u00e0 la Mastercard Foundation pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la Community Week 2026, qui s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e dans cinq des huit sites de la Fondation : Kenya, \u00c9thiopie, Ghana, Ouganda et Rwanda. La c\u00e9l\u00e9bration \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du continent s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e sous le th\u00e8me *\u201cCr\u00e9er un impact ensemble \u201d* et a soulign\u00e9 le pouvoir des partenariats dans la conduite de changements significatifs et durables pour les jeunes \u00e0 travers l'Afrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au cours des festivit\u00e9s, le FAWE s'est fortement inspir\u00e9 des remarques faites par la pr\u00e9sidente-directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la Mastercard Foundation, Mme Sewit Ahderom, qui a insist\u00e9 sur le fait qu'un travail percutant doit \u00eatre fond\u00e9 sur des partenariats authentiques. Elle a not\u00e9 que les programmes transformateurs ne sont pas construits uniquement sur la base d'une strat\u00e9gie sur papier, mais sur la base de relations solides, d'une confiance mutuelle et d'un sens partag\u00e9 de l'objectif. Son message a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la conviction du FAWE selon laquelle la collaboration est au c\u0153ur du d\u00e9veloppement durable et de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes dans l'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis plus de 12 ans, le FAWE et la Fondation Mastercard se sont associ\u00e9s pour \u00e9largir les opportunit\u00e9s offertes aux jeunes femmes et hommes \u00e0 travers le continent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des interventions cibl\u00e9es dans les domaines de l'\u00e9ducation, du d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences, de la promotion du leadership et de l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un travail digne et gratifiant. Ce partenariat de longue date a donn\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats significatifs, touchant des milliers de jeunes avec des programmes qui changent leur vie et contribuant \u00e0 l'objectif plus large d'une population de jeunes africains autonomes, \u00e9duqu\u00e9s et pr\u00eats \u00e0 l'emploi. Le FAWE est fier de ce partenariat et de l'impact transformationnel qu'il continue de cr\u00e9er dans les r\u00e9gions o\u00f9 les deux organisations op\u00e8rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En Ethiopie, le FAWE \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la Directrice ex\u00e9cutive adjointe, Mme Teresa Omondi-Adeitan, ainsi que par la Coordinatrice de l'Antenne nationale du FAWE Ethiopie, Mme Selamawit Admassu. Leur participation a mis en \u00e9vidence la profondeur de l'engagement du FAWE dans le pays et l'alignement solide avec les priorit\u00e9s strat\u00e9giques de la Fondation. A travers le continent, les coll\u00e8gues du FAWE se sont \u00e9galement joints aux c\u00e9l\u00e9brations au Rwanda, au Ghana et en Ouganda, refl\u00e9tant ainsi la force et l'\u00e9tendue du partenariat. Au Rwanda, le FAWE \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la Coordinatrice de l'Antenne nationale, Mme Alice Mutesi, et la Charg\u00e9e de programme, Mme Phiona Mutoni ; au Ghana, par la Charg\u00e9e de programme, Mme Dora Mochiah ; et en Ouganda, par la Responsable des ressources humaines et de l'administration, Mme Ida Percy Mutesasira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
