BANJUL, Gambie - 15 mai 2026 - Le FAWE a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la 87\u00e8me session ordinaire de la Commission africaine des droits de l'homme et des peuples, qui s'est tenue \u00e0 Banjul sous le th\u00e8me \u2019Assurer la disponibilit\u00e9 durable de l'eau et des syst\u00e8mes d'assainissement s\u00fbrs pour atteindre les objectifs de l'Agenda 2063\u201c : *L'organisation \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par Dr. Koly Fall, Charg\u00e9e de la gestion des connaissances, et Mme Yadicon Njie-Eribo, Coordinatrice de l'Antenne nationale du FAWE Gambie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au cours de la session, le FAWE a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une d\u00e9claration officielle soulignant que l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'eau potable et \u00e0 l'assainissement est essentiel \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation du droit des filles \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation. L'intervention a mis en \u00e9vidence la fa\u00e7on dont le changement climatique, les conflits, les pratiques n\u00e9fastes telles que les mutilations g\u00e9nitales f\u00e9minines (MGF) et les d\u00e9placements continuent de perturber l'apprentissage \u00e0 travers le continent africain, affectant de fa\u00e7on disproportionn\u00e9e les adolescentes et les jeunes femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le FAWE a en outre appel\u00e9 les \u00c9tats membres et les organes comp\u00e9tents de l'Union africaine \u00e0 renforcer leur engagement en faveur de la mise en \u0153uvre de politiques \u00e9ducatives tenant compte du genre, de la protection des adolescentes contre toutes les formes de violence et de discrimination, et de la promotion d'environnements d'apprentissage inclusifs et s\u00fbrs dans toute l'Afrique. L'organisation a soulign\u00e9 que sans investissements d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9s dans les infrastructures d'eau, d'assainissement et d'hygi\u00e8ne (WASH) \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur et autour des \u00e9coles, les progr\u00e8s vers l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes dans l'\u00e9ducation resteraient gravement compromis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En marge de la session, le FAWE a tenu une r\u00e9union de travail productive avec ses coll\u00e8gues du FAWE Gambie afin d'approfondir la collaboration sur l'\u00e9ducation des filles, le plaidoyer contre les MGF, les droits des adolescents et le d\u00e9veloppement de partenariats strat\u00e9giques aux niveaux national et r\u00e9gional. La r\u00e9union a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 l'importance d'un plaidoyer coordonn\u00e9 et d'un engagement au niveau local pour traduire les cadres continentaux des droits de l'homme en am\u00e9liorations tangibles pour les filles et les jeunes femmes en Gambie et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pr\u00e9sence du FAWE \u00e0 la 87\u00e8me session ordinaire a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 l'engagement continu de l'organisation \u00e0 positionner l'\u00e9ducation des filles dans le cadre plus large des droits de l'homme et des agendas de d\u00e9veloppement, en veillant \u00e0 ce que les voix des filles africaines soient entendues dans les forums politiques les plus importants du continent.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
