A travers une s\u00e9rie de missions sur le terrain et de visites \u00e0 domicile men\u00e9es le 11 f\u00e9vrier 2026 et au-del\u00e0, le Secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional du FAWE et le Forum des \u00e9ducatrices africaines de Zambie (FAWEZA) se sont engag\u00e9s directement avec les participants au programme, leurs familles et les parties prenantes locales de l'\u00e9ducation - en renfor\u00e7ant les liens, en approfondissant la compr\u00e9hension et en r\u00e9affirmant le pouvoir transformateur de l'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces visites, effectu\u00e9es dans le cadre de la phase II du programme de la Fondation Mastercard, ont rappel\u00e9 avec force que derri\u00e8re chaque bourse se cache une histoire de r\u00e9silience, d'espoir et de d\u00e9termination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c9couter les familles, renforcer la confiance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le district de Chibomba, province centrale, les repr\u00e9sentants du FAWE, Emily Gumba, responsable principale des programmes, et Stanley Muigai, responsable des technologies de l'information, se sont joints \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe du FAWEZA pour effectuer une visite \u00e0 domicile aupr\u00e8s de la famille d'un participant au programme. Cette visite a permis de cr\u00e9er un espace de dialogue ouvert avec la m\u00e8re du participant et ses proches, offrant ainsi des informations pr\u00e9cieuses sur les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s quotidiennes, les aspirations et les d\u00e9fis de la famille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces engagements sont essentiels pour garantir que les programmes du FAWE restent ancr\u00e9s dans les contextes communautaires. En \u00e9coutant directement les familles, le FAWE renforce la confiance, am\u00e9liore la r\u00e9activit\u00e9 des programmes et s'assure que ses interventions r\u00e9pondent non seulement aux besoins acad\u00e9miques, mais aussi aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s sociales et \u00e9motionnelles qui fa\u00e7onnent le parcours des apprenants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces conversations ont \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 le r\u00f4le essentiel que jouent les familles en tant que piliers d'encouragement, faisant souvent des sacrifices extraordinaires pour soutenir l'\u00e9ducation et l'avenir de leurs enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Renforcer l'avenir gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la deuxi\u00e8me chance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le sud de la Zambie, une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation conjointe du Secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional du FAWE et du FAWEZA, dirig\u00e9e par Teresa Omondi Adeitan, Directrice ex\u00e9cutive adjointe, s'est engag\u00e9e dans des visites de terrain qui ont mis en \u00e9vidence l'impact de la deuxi\u00e8me chance dans l'\u00e9ducation, qui change la vie des gens. Accompagn\u00e9e du Directeur ex\u00e9cutif du FAWEZA, M. Kanchele, et des responsables de district, la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a rendu visite aux participants au programme qui poursuivent des \u00e9tudes dipl\u00f4mantes en comptabilit\u00e9, notamment Mme Kelitah et M. Solomon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leurs histoires refl\u00e8tent la d\u00e9termination et l'ambition de jeunes gens qui reconstruisent leur parcours \u00e9ducatif et poursuivent des carri\u00e8res qui leur permettront de transformer leur avenir et de contribuer \u00e0 la vie de leur communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au Livingstone Institute of Business and Engineering Studies (LIBES), la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a rencontr\u00e9 M. David Kakumba, un \u00e9tudiant en technologie \u00e9lectrique dont les performances exceptionnelles ont permis \u00e0 l'\u00e9tablissement d'\u00eatre reconnu comme le deuxi\u00e8me champion g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'Africa Skills Competition. Sa r\u00e9ussite t\u00e9moigne de l'impact de l'acc\u00e8s, du mentorat et des opportunit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces visites ont r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 fondamentale : lorsque les jeunes ont la possibilit\u00e9 de poursuivre leurs \u00e9tudes, ils deviennent des agents de changement, non seulement pour eux-m\u00eames, mais aussi pour leurs familles et leurs communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>T\u00e9moin de la r\u00e9silience dans l'ouest de la Zambie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D'autres visites sur le terrain dans l'ouest de la Zambie, notamment \u00e0 Mumbwa, Sioma, Senanga et Mongu, ont permis de mieux comprendre les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s auxquelles sont confront\u00e9s les b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires du programme et leurs familles. Les \u00e9quipes du FAWE ont rencontr\u00e9 des tuteurs, des parents et des \u00e9tudiants, dont beaucoup vivent dans des conditions extr\u00eamement vuln\u00e9rables, notamment dans des foyers monoparentaux et des foyers dirig\u00e9s par des enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, dans tous les foyers, un message \u00e9tait clair : le soutien du FAWE a ouvert des portes qui, autrement, seraient rest\u00e9es ferm\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un foyer, une m\u00e8re a fait part de son engagement in\u00e9branlable \u00e0 veiller \u00e0 ce que ses filles terminent leurs \u00e9tudes, d\u00e9termin\u00e9e \u00e0 les aider \u00e0 se construire un avenir ind\u00e9pendant et \u00e0 \u00e9viter les mariages pr\u00e9coces. Son histoire refl\u00e8te le courage et la d\u00e9termination des familles qui consid\u00e8rent l'\u00e9ducation comme un moyen d'acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la dignit\u00e9, \u00e0 l'autonomie et aux opportunit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A l'\u00e9cole d'infirmi\u00e8res et de sages-femmes Lewanika \u00e0 Mongu, la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation a rencontr\u00e9 47 \u00e9tudiants parrain\u00e9s, ce qui confirme la poursuite de l'int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 du programme et t\u00e9moigne d'un engagement acad\u00e9mique fort. Parmi eux se trouvaient des \u00e9tudiants handicap\u00e9s, ce qui refl\u00e8te l'engagement du FAWE en faveur de l'\u00e9ducation inclusive. Les \u00e9tudiants ont fait part de leur satisfaction quant au soutien global apport\u00e9 par le programme, y compris les bourses, le mentorat, l'h\u00e9bergement et les r\u00e9seaux de soutien par les pairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Une \u00e9ducation ancr\u00e9e dans la communaut\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces missions sur le terrain renforcent l'engagement du FAWE \u00e0 marcher aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des communaut\u00e9s, en s'assurant que les programmes restent ancr\u00e9s dans les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s v\u00e9cues.
