De <\/span>Du 3 au 6 juin 2025<\/b>, la ville de <\/span>Abuja, Nigeria<\/b>, La conf\u00e9rence de Copenhague est devenue l'\u00e9picentre d'un puissant mouvement mondial, fond\u00e9 sur la science, l'empathie et la d\u00e9termination collective. Parmi les d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s qui ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 cette conversation lors de l'Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l'Union europ\u00e9enne, il y avait des repr\u00e9sentants de l'Union europ\u00e9enne. <\/span>5e congr\u00e8s mondial sur la dr\u00e9panocytose<\/b>, qui se tient au <\/span>H\u00f4tel Abuja Continental<\/b>, \u00e9tait <\/span>Emily Gumba<\/b>, Mme Kristof, charg\u00e9e de programme senior au FAWE Afrique.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le congr\u00e8s s'est tenu sous le th\u00e8me urgent et inclusif \u201cTravailler ensemble pour r\u00e9duire le fardeau de la dr\u00e9panocytose : Ne laisser personne de c\u00f4t\u00e9\u201d, le congr\u00e8s a attir\u00e9 plus de <\/span>500 participants<\/b> du monde entier.<\/span>les professionnels de la sant\u00e9, les chercheurs, les patients, les soignants, les d\u00e9fenseurs des droits de l'homme, les personnes influentes sur le plan politique et les leaders de l'industrie.<\/b>-pour faire avancer l'agenda mondial en mati\u00e8re de maladies sexuellement transmissibles.<\/span><\/p>\n

L'originalit\u00e9 de ce rassemblement de quatre jours r\u00e9side dans le fait qu'il s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 dans une ambiance tr\u00e8s conviviale. <\/span>une approche interdisciplinaire ax\u00e9e sur le patient<\/b>. Loin d'\u00eatre cloisonn\u00e9 dans le jargon m\u00e9dical ou les enclaves scientifiques, le congr\u00e8s a embrass\u00e9 tout le spectre de l'exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue. Les sessions allaient de <\/span>science fondamentale et translationnelle<\/b>, \u00e0 <\/span>meilleures pratiques cliniques<\/b>, <\/span>strat\u00e9gies de sant\u00e9 publique<\/b>, <\/span>l'impact psychosocial<\/b>, et le <\/span>r\u00e9alit\u00e9s sociopolitiques<\/b> qui d\u00e9terminent l'acc\u00e8s aux soins.<\/span><\/p>\n

En tant que repr\u00e9sentante du FAWE Afrique - un r\u00e9seau qui se consacre aux droits et \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des filles et des femmes -, j'ai eu l'occasion d'assister \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des prix.<\/span>La pr\u00e9sence d'Emily Gumba \u00e9tait porteuse d'un message essentiel<\/b>que la lutte contre la dr\u00e9panocytose est aussi une lutte pour les droits de l'homme. <\/span>l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 entre les sexes, l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une \u00e9ducation inclusive<\/b>. Dans de trop nombreuses communaut\u00e9s, les adolescentes atteintes de DICS sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 la stigmatisation, \u00e0 l'exclusion scolaire et \u00e0 des besoins sanitaires non satisfaits. Le plaidoyer en faveur de leur inclusion doit \u00eatre aussi audacieux que la science \u00e0 l'origine des perc\u00e9es th\u00e9rapeutiques.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il est important de noter que le congr\u00e8s a \u00e9galement explor\u00e9 <\/span>des solutions politiques innovantes et des interventions modulables<\/b>, y compris ceux qui visent \u00e0 atteindre les <\/span>les populations marginalis\u00e9es<\/b> avec des th\u00e9rapies abordables et efficaces. Le ton \u00e9tait \u00e0 la fois urgent et plein d'espoir, ancr\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9centes avanc\u00e9es scientifiques vers l'am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de vie. <\/span>th\u00e9rapies curatives<\/b>, et la volont\u00e9 croissante de supprimer les obstacles syst\u00e9miques aux soins.<\/span><\/p>\n
