{"id":65262,"date":"2025-06-26T10:44:28","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T07:44:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fawe.org\/?p=65262"},"modified":"2025-06-26T10:44:28","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T07:44:28","slug":"no-more-lists-of-tears-zambia-embraces-a-second-chance-for-tertiary-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fawe.org\/fr\/no-more-lists-of-tears-zambia-embraces-a-second-chance-for-tertiary-education\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cPlus de listes de larmes : La Zambie donne une seconde chance \u00e0 l'enseignement sup\u00e9rieur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le 5 mai, au c\u0153ur de Lusaka, quelque chose d'audacieux et de n\u00e9cessaire a pris forme - non pas sous la forme de grandes d\u00e9clarations, mais dans la conviction partag\u00e9e d'\u00e9ducateurs, de dirigeants et de d\u00e9fenseurs qui croient que le potentiel ne devrait jamais \u00eatre d\u00e9fini par un r\u00e9sultat de test.<\/p>\n<p>La Directrice ex\u00e9cutive adjointe du FAWE Afrique et Responsable des programmes, Mme Teresa Omondi Adeitan, a rejoint le FAWE Zambie (FAWEZA) pour une r\u00e9union de plaidoyer cruciale, afin de rallier le soutien en faveur des cours de transition - des lignes de vie pour les jeunes femmes et les jeunes hommes qui n'ont pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 entrer \u00e0 l'universit\u00e9 mais qui d\u00e9bordent de promesses inexploit\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Dirig\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sidente du FAWEZA, le professeur Enala Mwase, l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement a rassembl\u00e9 des vice-chanceliers et des repr\u00e9sentants de haut niveau de sept universit\u00e9s zambiennes qui \u00e9taient l\u00e0 pour aider \u00e0 remodeler le paysage de l'enseignement sup\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<p>S'exprimant au nom de la phase II du programme de la Fondation Mastercard, Mme Teresa Omondi-Adeitan, Directrice ex\u00e9cutive adjointe du FAWE Afrique, a soulign\u00e9 l'urgence d'une \u201cseconde chance\u201d pour les \u00e9tudiants qui ont manqu\u00e9 de peu les seuils d'admission dans les universit\u00e9s pour l'obtention de dipl\u00f4mes dans le domaine des STEM. \u201cIl ne s'agit pas d'\u00e9checs\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mme Omondi. \u201cCe sont des \u00e9tudiants qui ont simplement besoin d'une porte qui ne s'est pas ouverte la premi\u00e8re fois.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La salle s'est calm\u00e9e lorsque le professeur Paul Waako, vice-chancelier de l'universit\u00e9 de Busitema en Ouganda, a pris la parole. Son message \u00e9tait incisif, compatissant et inoubliable :<\/p>\n<p>\u201cL'Afrique devrait am\u00e9liorer l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'enseignement sup\u00e9rieur. La liste des qualifications ne doit pas \u00eatre une liste de larmes. Il incombe aux dirigeants des universit\u00e9s de mettre fin \u00e0 ces larmes. Tous les \u00e9tudiants peuvent \u00eatre form\u00e9s.\u201d<br \/>\nSon universit\u00e9 a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tabli un partenariat avec le FAWE Ouganda pour offrir le certificat d'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'enseignement sup\u00e9rieur (HEAC) et les r\u00e9sultats sont \u00e9loquents : lorsqu'on leur en donne la possibilit\u00e9, les \u00e9tudiants montent en fl\u00e8che.<\/p>\n<p>Mme Omondi a ensuite anim\u00e9 un panel de leaders d'opinion et d'universitaires - Dr Banda (Copperbelt University), Dr Chipambe (University of Lusaka), et Dr Eunifridah Simuyaba (University of Zambia), tous unis dans leur soutien \u00e0 l'introduction de cours de transition adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la Zambie. La question n'est plus de savoir si, mais comment, qui et o\u00f9.<\/p>\n<p>Plus tard dans la journ\u00e9e, la dynamique s'est poursuivie avec une visite de courtoisie au nouveau secr\u00e9taire permanent du minist\u00e8re de l'\u00e9ducation, M. Kevin Mambwe. Avec sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 et perspicacit\u00e9, il a reconnu les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s profondes auxquelles sont confront\u00e9es les filles dans les communaut\u00e9s rurales et mal desservies. Cependant, il a \u00e9galement mis le FAWEZA au d\u00e9fi de creuser plus profond\u00e9ment : Que se passe-t-il pour les gar\u00e7ons ? O\u00f9 sont les donn\u00e9es ? Son inqui\u00e9tude : le succ\u00e8s visible des filles urbaines peut occulter les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s rurales, et une crise croissante chez les gar\u00e7ons peut passer inaper\u00e7ue.<\/p>\n<p>Le FAWEZA s'est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 poursuivre sa collaboration et a renforc\u00e9 son r\u00f4le de partenaire strat\u00e9gique du minist\u00e8re, non seulement en mati\u00e8re de plaidoyer, mais aussi de recherche, de conception de programmes et de dialogue politique.
