Apr\u00e8s onze ann\u00e9es de d\u00e9vouement et de contribution \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation des filles sur le continent, dont plus de cinq \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l'organisation, Mme Hendrina Chalwe Doroba a quitt\u00e9 le FAWE Afrique en tant que Directrice ex\u00e9cutive du Secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional, \u00e0 compter de la fin du mois de septembre 2018. La nouvelle de son d\u00e9part a \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9e par le Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Pr\u00e9sidente du Conseil d'administration du FAWE Afrique.<\/p>\n

Dans un communiqu\u00e9 adress\u00e9 aux Antennes nationales et aux partenaires du FAWE, le Prof. Opoku-Agyemang a annonc\u00e9 la nomination de Mme Martha Muhwezi en tant que Directrice ex\u00e9cutive int\u00e9rimaire jusqu'\u00e0 ce que le Conseil d'administration du FAWE Afrique ach\u00e8ve le recrutement d'un nouveau Directeur ex\u00e9cutif.<\/p>\n

\u201cMme Muhwezi est actuellement la Responsable principale de la coordination des programmes du Secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional du FAWE et elle a travaill\u00e9 en \u00e9troite collaboration avec Hendrina au cours des six derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Le FAWE est convaincu que Mme Muhwezi prendra tr\u00e8s bien la direction du Secr\u00e9tariat pendant cette p\u00e9riode de transition\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la Pr\u00e9sidente.<\/p>\n

Avant de rejoindre le FAWE, Hendrina a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ambassade d'Irlande (Zambie) en tant que responsable de l'\u00e9ducation, et \u00e0 Oxfam GB Zambie en tant que coordinatrice nationale du projet du Fonds du Commonwealth pour l'\u00e9ducation, soutenant et renfor\u00e7ant les capacit\u00e9s de 12 ONG locales. Elle a \u00e9galement enseign\u00e9 les math\u00e9matiques et la g\u00e9ographie dans l'enseignement secondaire et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et coordonn\u00e9 des programmes de formation continue pour les professeurs de math\u00e9matiques en Zambie pendant plus de 20 ans.<\/p>\n

Hendrina est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e et membre du Global Women Leadership Network (GWLN) et Senior Fellow de Synergos.
