Les impacts sont profonds, perturbant l'\u00e9ducation et exacerbant les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s existantes.<\/p>\n<p>Le changement climatique a entra\u00een\u00e9 des conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques extr\u00eames qui se traduisent par des inondations et des vagues de chaleur extr\u00eames en Afrique, les filles et les femmes \u00e9tant touch\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e. L'\u00e9ducation des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savethechildren.net\/news\/tens-thousands-forced-out-school-floods-sub-saharan-africa#_edn1\">75 millions d'enfants<\/a> est souvent interrompue chaque ann\u00e9e, et au moins <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.ctfassets.net\/0oan5gk9rgbh\/OFgutQPKIFoi5lfY2iwFC\/6b2fffd2c893ebdebee60f93be814299\/MalalaFund_GirlsEducation_ClimateReport.pdf\">12,5 millions de filles<\/a> dans 30 pays vuln\u00e9rables au climat, dont 22 en Afrique. En outre, environ 200 millions d'adolescentes vivant dans la pauvret\u00e9 sont expos\u00e9es \u00e0 un risque accru de catastrophes (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.worldbank.org\/en\/climatechange\/why-we-must-engage-adolescent-girls-climate-change-solutions\">Le monde<\/a> Banque mondiale, 2022). Les inondations qui font rage et les perturbations du calendrier scolaire au Kenya pourraient encore aggraver la situation, en particulier pour les filles.<\/p>\n<p>En 2019, le Malawi, les Comores, le Mozambique et le Zimbabwe ont \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9s par deux des cyclones les plus extr\u00eames. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/a\/malawi-follows-zambia-in-declaring-drought-disaster\/7541174.html\">Malawi<\/a> a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l'\u00e9tat de s\u00e9cheresse dans 23 de ses 28 districts. <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/drought-national-disaster-emergency-electricity-4cc6a2105f4641efe17e10a5b75f78a5\">Zambie<\/a> en 2024. En 2020, les inondations ont entra\u00een\u00e9 le d\u00e9placement de milliers de personnes dans les r\u00e9gions suivantes <a href=\"https:\/\/reliefweb.int\/report\/nigeria\/nigeria-floods-response-flash-update-2-last-updated-1-november-2022\">Nig\u00e9ria<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/floodlist.com\/africa\/guinea-floods-kankan-september-2020\">Guin\u00e9e<\/a> et les enfants sont rest\u00e9s absents de l'\u00e9cole pendant une longue p\u00e9riode. Environ 116 \u00e9coles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truites en <a href=\"https:\/\/reliefweb.int\/report\/world\/tens-thousands-forced-out-school-floods-sub-saharan-africa#:~:text=In%20Sudan%20and%20Niger%20alone,have%20already%20affected%20children's%20learning.\">Niger et Soudan<\/a> en l'espace de deux mois, ce qui a entra\u00een\u00e9 des fermetures d'\u00e9coles.<\/p>\n<p>L'interruption de la scolarit\u00e9 n'affecte pas seulement les progr\u00e8s scolaires, mais expose \u00e9galement les filles \u00e0 des risques accrus, notamment \u00e0 l'exploitation et \u00e0 la violence. Les espaces s\u00e9curis\u00e9s offerts par les \u00e9coles jouent un r\u00f4le crucial dans la protection des filles et leur permettent de conna\u00eetre leurs droits. Par cons\u00e9quent, toute mesure visant \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les communaut\u00e9s doit donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la continuit\u00e9 de l'\u00e9ducation, en particulier pour les groupes marginalis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>La pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 a mis en \u00e9vidence les cons\u00e9quences des fermetures prolong\u00e9es des \u00e9coles, avec une augmentation des grossesses chez les adolescentes et de la violence sexiste dans plusieurs pays africains. Pour relever ces d\u00e9fis, il faut un effort concert\u00e9 pour s'attaquer aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s sous-jacentes entre les sexes et garantir l'acc\u00e8s aux services essentiels, y compris la sant\u00e9 et les droits sexuels et reproductifs (SRHR).<\/p>\n<p>Bien que les gouvernements aient lanc\u00e9 des initiatives d'apprentissage \u00e0 distance pendant les crises, des approches plus inclusives sont n\u00e9cessaires pour atteindre tous les apprenants, en particulier ceux des communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es. Il s'agit notamment de fournir un acc\u00e8s aux ressources num\u00e9riques et de s'attaquer aux obstacles tels que la pauvret\u00e9 et le manque d'infrastructures.<\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9paration aux catastrophes devrait \u00eatre un effort collectif impliquant de multiples parties prenantes. Les agences m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques jouent un r\u00f4le crucial dans les syst\u00e8mes d'alerte pr\u00e9coce, tandis que les minist\u00e8res de la sant\u00e9 contribuent \u00e0 assurer le bien-\u00eatre des communaut\u00e9s en cas d'urgence.<\/p>\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes \u00e9ducatifs doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9silients et adaptables, et int\u00e9grer des mesures de r\u00e9duction des risques de catastrophe et des p\u00e9dagogies tenant compte de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes. Il est essentiel de donner aux enseignants la formation et les ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour assurer la continuit\u00e9 de l'apprentissage et la protection des \u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/p>\n<p>L'engagement de la communaut\u00e9 est \u00e9galement primordial, car il permet de tirer parti des structures et des ressources existantes pour att\u00e9nuer les risques et promouvoir la r\u00e9silience. Des initiatives telles que \u2018Nyumba Kumi\u2019 et les clubs de m\u00e8res constituent des r\u00e9seaux de soutien pr\u00e9cieux et des moyens de sensibilisation \u00e0 des questions telles que la pr\u00e9vention de la violence.<\/p>\n<p>Pour aller de l'avant, il est n\u00e9cessaire de mettre en place des plans d'urgence complets et tenant compte de la dimension de genre afin de faire face efficacement aux perturbations futures. Les investissements dans la r\u00e9ponse aux situations d'urgence devraient donner la priorit\u00e9 aux besoins des groupes vuln\u00e9rables, en veillant \u00e0 ce que personne ne soit laiss\u00e9 pour compte.<\/p>\n<p>Face au cycle r\u00e9current des catastrophes en Afrique, il est imp\u00e9ratif de prendre des mesures proactives et de collaborer.
