Le th\u00e8me de cette ann\u00e9e est \u201cDigitALL : Innovation et technologie pour l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes\u201d. Ce th\u00e8me permet d'explorer l'impact du foss\u00e9 num\u00e9rique entre les hommes et les femmes sur l'aggravation des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et sociales.<\/p>\n<p>Le Kenya peut s'enorgueillir de disposer d'une infrastructure suffisante pour permettre \u00e0 la plupart de ses citoyens, y compris les apprenants, d'avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'internet et d'interagir activement avec la technologie. Bien qu'il ait fait de grands progr\u00e8s dans la promotion des avanc\u00e9es num\u00e9riques en fournissant des infrastructures technologiques, le Kenya n'a pas encore atteint son objectif de d\u00e9veloppement durable. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/mobilefordevelopment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/GSMA-The-Mobile-Gender-Gap-Report-2019.pdf\">Rapport 2019 de la GSMA sur l'\u00e9cart entre les hommes et les femmes dans le secteur de la t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile<\/a> rapporte que \u201cles femmes au Kenya sont 39% moins susceptibles que les hommes d'avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'internet mobile\u201d et \u201csont \u00e9galement 23% moins susceptibles de poss\u00e9der un smartphone\u201d. En outre, une \u00e9tude de 2021 intitul\u00e9e \u201cKenya's Digital Economy : A People's Perspective\u201d, a \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que seuls \u201c[l]es hommes et les femmes ont acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'internet mobile\".\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/dalberg.com\/our-ideas\/kenyas-digital-economy-a-peoples-perspective\/\">35% des femmes<\/a>\u00a0utilisent des services num\u00e9riques avanc\u00e9s contre 54% des hommes\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>L'utilisation de l'innovation et de la technologie dans l'\u00e9ducation a \u00e9t\u00e9 pleinement test\u00e9e au Kenya pendant la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19. En 2020, la plupart des \u00e9tablissements d'enseignement ont migr\u00e9 vers l'apprentissage en ligne et ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l'apprentissage ne doit pas n\u00e9cessairement \u00eatre confin\u00e9 dans une salle de classe. Bien que la migration ait connu quelques difficult\u00e9s initiales, les \u00e9tablissements d'enseignement ont \u00e9t\u00e9 contraints de s'adapter et certains ont conserv\u00e9 ce mode d'apprentissage. Toutefois, les apprenants vivant dans des \u00e9tablissements informels et dans des zones rurales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e, car ils n'ont qu'un acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'internet et m\u00eame \u00e0 l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de tous les apprenants, les \u00e9ducateurs ont d\u00fb faire preuve d'innovation et utiliser d'autres technologies que l'internet dans le cadre de l'apprentissage. Les \u00e9coles, en particulier celles situ\u00e9es dans les zones rurales et informelles, utilisent la radio et la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision pour assurer la continuit\u00e9 de l'apprentissage. L'adaptation de ces diff\u00e9rents modes d'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation \u00e0 l'aide de la technologie a am\u00e9lior\u00e9 l'acc\u00e8s des filles \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation. En effet, l'apprentissage a adopt\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le d'auto-apprentissage qui permet aux filles, en particulier dans les zones rurales, de poursuivre leur \u00e9ducation et de r\u00e9duire la probabilit\u00e9 d'\u00eatre entra\u00een\u00e9es dans des pratiques traditionnelles n\u00e9fastes telles que le mariage pr\u00e9coce et les mutilations g\u00e9nitales f\u00e9minines.<\/p>\n<p>Sachant qu'une \u00e9ducation technologique et num\u00e9rique inclusive et transformatrice est cruciale pour un avenir durable, il est prudent pour les gouvernements et les acteurs de l'\u00e9ducation d'explorer les moyens d'utiliser la technologie en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour garantir aux femmes un acc\u00e8s \u00e9gal et de l'utiliser comme un outil d'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>Des institutions telles que le Forum des \u00e9ducatrices africaines (FAWE), conscientes de l'importance de l'utilisation de la technologie pour assurer la continuit\u00e9 de l'apprentissage, ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des contenus \u00e9ducatifs num\u00e9riques pour les apprenants et les enseignants afin de garantir l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une \u00e9ducation de qualit\u00e9. L'existence de ces plateformes permet aux femmes et aux jeunes filles non seulement d'interagir avec le mat\u00e9riel p\u00e9dagogique, mais aussi de s'int\u00e9resser aux sciences, aux technologies, \u00e0 l'ing\u00e9nierie et aux math\u00e9matiques (STEM) et, par cons\u00e9quent, d'embrasser des carri\u00e8res dans ces domaines.
