{"id":2823,"date":"2017-12-18T20:16:03","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T17:16:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fawe.org\/?p=2823"},"modified":"2017-12-18T20:16:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-18T17:16:03","slug":"fawe-receives-inaugural-2017-al-sumait-prize-for-the-development-of-africa-in-the-field-of-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fawe.org\/fr\/fawe-receives-inaugural-2017-al-sumait-prize-for-the-development-of-africa-in-the-field-of-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Le FAWE re\u00e7oit le premier Prix Al-Sumait 2017 pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l'Afrique dans le domaine de l'\u00e9ducation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le Forum des \u00e9ducatrices africaines s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 lors d'une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie haute en couleur dans la ville de Kowe\u00eft le 13...<sup>th<\/sup> D\u00e9cembre 2017 : Laur\u00e9at du cycle 2017 du Prix Al-Sumait pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l'Afrique dans le domaine de l'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>Le prix, d'une valeur d'un million de dollars am\u00e9ricains, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 au FAWE pour ses r\u00e9alisations en mati\u00e8re d'am\u00e9lioration significative de l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 et de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les sexes dans le domaine de l'\u00e9ducation par le biais de programmes cibl\u00e9s, ayant un impact profond sur les attitudes et les pratiques \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de l'\u00e9ducation des filles et influen\u00e7ant les politiques \u00e9ducatives dans 33 pays d'Afrique.<\/p>\n<p>La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des prix a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par Son Altesse l'\u00c9mir adjoint, le Prince h\u00e9ritier Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah, qui a remis le prix 2017, compos\u00e9 d'un million de dollars, d'une m\u00e9daille d'or et d'un bouclier \u00e0 la Directrice ex\u00e9cutive du FAWE Afrique, Mme Hendrina Doroba, en compagnie de la Pr\u00e9sidente du FAWE Afrique, le Professeur Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, et de la Responsable des programmes, Mme Martha Muhwezi.<\/p>\n<p>Rayonnante de joie en recevant le prix au nom du r\u00e9seau FAWE, Mme Doroba a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u201cNous sommes extr\u00eamement honor\u00e9s par ce prix qui sera utilis\u00e9 pour soutenir nos efforts de promotion et de d\u00e9veloppement de l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 et de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 dans l'\u00e9ducation sur le continent, en particulier par le biais de nos centres d'excellence et de nos partenariats avec les gouvernements \u00e0 travers l'Afrique\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La Directrice ex\u00e9cutive du FAWE a soulign\u00e9 que \u201cce prix n'est pas seulement une merveilleuse fa\u00e7on de reconna\u00eetre l'excellent travail que le FAWE, en tant qu'organisation, accomplit en Afrique pour \u00e9manciper les filles et les femmes et cr\u00e9er des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s plus \u00e9galitaires, mais aussi une reconnaissance des femmes courageuses du FAWE qui ont parcouru des territoires inexplor\u00e9s au cours des 25 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de l'existence de l'organisation\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Initi\u00e9 en 2013 par Son Altesse l'\u00c9mir du Kowe\u00eft Cheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, le Prix Al-Sumait pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l'Afrique est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9compenser les initiatives et les recherches novatrices et inspirantes men\u00e9es par des individus et des organisations qui s'attaquent aux d\u00e9fis auxquels est confront\u00e9 le continent africain. Le prix reconna\u00eet et honore les personnes ou les institutions qui contribuent \u00e0 faire progresser le d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et social, le d\u00e9veloppement des ressources humaines et les infrastructures en Afrique.<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr Adnan Shihab-Eldin, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la Fondation kowe\u00eftienne pour l'avancement des sciences (KFAS), qui g\u00e8re le prix Al-Sumait du Kowe\u00eft pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l'Afrique, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 au public que l'approche inclusive et strat\u00e9gique du FAWE pour lutter contre les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d'\u00e9ducation, en particulier entre les filles et les gar\u00e7ons, \u00e9tait une v\u00e9ritable source d'inspiration\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Pour sa part, la Pr\u00e9sidente du FAWE Afrique, Mme Opoku-Agyemang, a fait remarquer que \u201c le prix n'est pas un prix d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 un seul organisme, mais un prix qui met en valeur l'impact du panafricanisme \u201c. \u201cElle a rappel\u00e9 que \u201dle FAWE s'efforce d'influer sur les cycles de la pauvret\u00e9, de l'ignorance, de l'analphab\u00e9tisme et de tous les autres facteurs qui limitent la valeur r\u00e9elle de l'\u00e9ducation sur le continent\".\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Au cours de ses 25 ann\u00e9es d'existence, le FAWE a influenc\u00e9 des changements positifs dans le paysage politique de nombreux \u00c9tats africains. La campagne \u201cEnvoyez votre fille \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole\u201d a, dans ses premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, convaincu de nombreux parents de permettre \u00e0 leurs filles d'exercer leurs droits \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation, ce qui a permis \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9 des pays d'atteindre la parit\u00e9 entre les sexes en mati\u00e8re de scolarisation primaire et de prendre des mesures pour s'assurer que les filles ne se contentent pas de s'inscrire, mais qu'elles b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d'un soutien pour rester \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'elles terminent leurs \u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n<p>L'intervention de l'\u00e9cole sensible au genre ou du Centre d'excellence (CoE) qui a valu le prix au FAWE vise \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre de mani\u00e8re holistique les pratiques discriminatoires historiques \u00e0 l'encontre des apprenantes par le biais d'une combinaison d'interventions. Le mod\u00e8le souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de renforcer les comp\u00e9tences p\u00e9dagogiques des enseignants afin qu'ils am\u00e9liorent la qualit\u00e9 des exp\u00e9riences d'apprentissage pour les apprenants des deux sexes et qu'ils favorisent une interaction positive entre les enseignants et les apprenants dans la salle de classe, ainsi qu'entre les apprenants des deux sexes. Le mod\u00e8le oblige la direction \u00e0 tenir compte des besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des apprenantes et des apprenants et \u00e0 promouvoir la participation des femmes \u00e0 l'encadrement des \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Dans le CdE, le partenariat entre l'\u00e9cole et la communaut\u00e9 fait partie int\u00e9grante du soutien psychosocial apport\u00e9 aux apprenants, en particulier aux filles qui ont besoin de traverser l'adolescence en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, comblant ainsi les \u00e9carts entre les sexes dans les taux de r\u00e9tention, de performance et d'ach\u00e8vement des \u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n<p>Le FAWE remercie les Antennes nationales qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les principaux acteurs de la mise en \u0153uvre du CoE dans les 33 pays et les gouvernements africains qui ont accept\u00e9 de s'associer au FAWE pour cette cause. Le cap des 25 ans a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 franchi gr\u00e2ce aux efforts inlassables du personnel r\u00e9gional et national ainsi que des b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires du r\u00e9seau qui ont traduit les opportunit\u00e9s de d\u00e9veloppement personnel et communautaire.<\/p>\n<p>Le prix Al-Sumait est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par un conseil d'administration compos\u00e9 de personnalit\u00e9s internationales \u00e9minentes dans le domaine du d\u00e9veloppement en Afrique et de philanthropes de renomm\u00e9e mondiale. Le Conseil est pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par S.E. Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, premier vice-premier ministre et ministre des affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res de l'\u00c9tat du Kowe\u00eft.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les autres administrateurs figurent M. Bill Gates, copr\u00e9sident de la Fondation Bill &amp; Melinda Gates, M. Makhtar Diop, vice-pr\u00e9sident de la Banque mondiale pour l'Afrique, le Dr Kwaku Aning, ancien directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral adjoint de l'Agence internationale de l'\u00e9nergie atomique, et M.
