S'adressant \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe du FAWE, M. Odongo, enseignant \u00e0 St. Catherine S.S., a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 ce qui suit :<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLorsqu'il s'agit d'enseignement num\u00e9rique dans un monde num\u00e9rique, il faut faire suffisamment de recherches pour \u00e9viter d'\u00eatre g\u00ean\u00e9 par les \u00e9tudiants qui sont expos\u00e9s aux ordinateurs. Cela leur donne un avantage sur nous, leurs enseignants.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>M. Odongo a ajout\u00e9 qu'auparavant, il se contentait de prendre ses livres et de se pr\u00e9cipiter en classe pour enseigner la th\u00e9orie, mais qu'apr\u00e8s l'introduction du projet STEM, son emploi du temps et son attitude ont chang\u00e9. Il consacre d\u00e9sormais la majeure partie de son temps \u00e0 la recherche.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEn utilisant l'ancienne m\u00e9thode d'enseignement \u00e0 la craie, nous nous sommes concentr\u00e9s sur le travail th\u00e9orique, ce qui a laiss\u00e9 de c\u00f4t\u00e9 une grande partie des concepts tout en traitant les diff\u00e9rents sujets. Les \u00e9tudiants s'ennuyaient souvent au point de s'endormir en classe.\u201d<\/em> Il a ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Il t\u00e9moigne que depuis qu'il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'atelier de p\u00e9dagogie num\u00e9rique organis\u00e9 par le FAWE sur la mani\u00e8re de faire \u00e9voluer l'\u00e9tat d'esprit des enseignants vers les m\u00e9thodes modernes d'enseignement, la vie et l'enseignement sont pour lui une source d'encouragement car il entrevoit d\u00e9sormais un avenir plus radieux.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cJe n'aurais jamais cru qu'un professeur de sciences comme moi puisse un jour utiliser un ordinateur. Je pensais que c'\u00e9tait r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux administrateurs de haut niveau et \u00e0 quelques \u00e9lus\u201d.\u201d<\/em> a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Odongo.<\/p>\n<p>Il pense que ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves ne resteront pas sans emploi apr\u00e8s les classes de quatri\u00e8me et de sixi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce aux comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques qu'ils viennent d'acqu\u00e9rir.
