Je suis une activiste du genre et une militante de l'\u00e9ducation. En 2010, j'ai re\u00e7u une formation du Forum des \u00e9ducatrices africaines, section Gambie (FAWEGAM). J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 entre les sexes, \u00e0 l'\u00e9ducation des filles et \u00e0 l'autonomisation des femmes dans le cadre des clubs Tuseme de Fawe. J'ai ainsi d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un sens aigu du raisonnement \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard des femmes et des filles, en particulier dans le domaine de l'\u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que vice-pr\u00e9sidente du club Tuseme de mon \u00e9cole, j'ai travaill\u00e9 avec d'autres membres du club pour faire en sorte que nos voix soient entendues. Pour ce faire, nous avons organis\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces de th\u00e9\u00e2tre sur l'assembl\u00e9e, prononc\u00e9 des discours sur l'\u00e9ducation des filles, des chansons et des po\u00e8mes. Nous nous sommes \u00e9galement associ\u00e9s \u00e0 d'autres clubs de l'\u00e9cole Tuseme pour lutter contre les souffrances des filles \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole et les aider \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir une \u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant que j'\u00e9tais \u00e0 l'UTG, j'ai postul\u00e9 pour un stage au FAWEGAM en 2016 et j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 accept\u00e9e pour un r\u00f4le de six mois avec une prolongation de quatre mois par la suite. Pendant cette p\u00e9riode, j'ai exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 l'art de la programmation et de la gestion des programmes, ainsi que la coordination ad\u00e9quate. J'ai repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 activement l'organisation lors de r\u00e9unions et d'ateliers et j'en ai toujours rendu compte \u00e0 l'organisation. J'ai \u00e9galement distribu\u00e9 des lettres \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes organisations, des invitations \u00e0 des ateliers ou \u00e0 des r\u00e9unions, organis\u00e9es par mon FAWEGAM.<\/p>\n<p>En ao\u00fbt 2017, j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 choisi pour repr\u00e9senter les anciens du FAWEGAM \u00e0 la conf\u00e9rence des filles africaines en Zambie (Lusaka). Etant le seul homme pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 la conf\u00e9rence, j'ai parl\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes auxquels les femmes et les filles sont confront\u00e9es en Gambie, en ce qui concerne l'\u00e9ducation, et j'ai \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des demandes de plaidoyer sur la fa\u00e7on d'aborder ces questions. On m'a confi\u00e9 la responsabilit\u00e9 d'engager directement 16 ministres africains de l'\u00e9ducation sur l'int\u00e9gration de la dimension de genre dans les \u00e9coles. Je dois dire que le capital social que j'ai ainsi acquis m'a ouvert de nombreuses portes.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd'hui, je suis l'une des millions de jeunes dans le monde qui se battent pour une cause juste en mettant fin \u00e0 toutes les formes de violence contre les femmes et les filles, et en donnant aux femmes et aux filles les moyens d'acqu\u00e9rir une \u00e9ducation pour le d\u00e9veloppement. Je suis membre de l'association HE4SHE, une association qui fait partie du \u2018\u2019R\u00e9seau contre la violence bas\u00e9e sur le genre\u2019\u2019, de l'agenda des filles, de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des filles et du groupe de soutien de la voix des jeunes.<\/p>\n<p>Je suis dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de la sixi\u00e8me cohorte en ligne de l'Initiative des jeunes leaders africains (YALI) et de la bourse de leadership en ligne du coll\u00e8gue Kectil.
