FAWE Kenya was honored to participate in the In-Country Pre-Session for Kenya’s 4th Cycle Universal Periodic Review (UPR), in collaboration with The East African Centre for Human Rights (EACHRights), Zamara Foundation, and The Lutheran World Federation. This engagement provided a vital platform to advocate for inclusive and gender-responsive education policies, emphasizing the fundamental right to education for all.

During the session, FAWE Kenya:
Presented the Right to Education Cluster Report, highlighting key policy recommendations to promote gender equality and equitable access to education.
Engaged with diplomatic missions and civil society organizations (CSOs) to strategize on collaborative advocacy efforts.
Addressed critical human rights concerns, setting the stage for discussions ahead of Kenya’s 4th UPR review in Geneva in May 2025.

Education is a cornerstone of human rights, and FAWE Kenya remains committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of gender or socio-economic background, has access to quality education. Strengthening Kenya’s education policies and promoting gender equality requires the collective effort of stakeholders, policymakers, and advocacy groups.

We extend our gratitude to our partners and all those dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable education system in Kenya. Together, we can drive meaningful change and empower the next generation through education.
