The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Liberia Chapter convened a Media Orientation and Engagement Session on Accurate Reporting of FAWE Liberia Programmes, bringing together media partners to strengthen collaboration and promote accurate, responsible and ethical reporting of its programmes. The engagement represented a powerful affirmation of the critical role that media played in amplifying stories, informing the public and increasing awareness of initiatives that promoted gender equity and access to quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The engagement, which took place at FAWE Liberia&#8217;s office, brought together twenty media institutions from across the country. The discussions underscored the importance of building trust and mutual understanding between the organisation and its media partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The media institutions engaged included: Smart News Liberia \u2013 Online, Liberia Broadcasting System\/ELBC Radio, ECOWAS Radio, Okay Radio, Prime Radio, Kool Radio, Truth Radio, Global News Network Liberia \u2013 Online, Women Television \u2013 Online, Liberia National Television, Voice of Liberia Radio, Sky Radio, Women Voices Newspaper, Daily Observer Newspaper, Inquirer Newspaper, The Liberia Investigator Newspaper, New Dawn Newspaper, Parrot Newspaper, KMTV Liberia and Analyst Newspaper. Their presence demonstrated a collective commitment to responsible journalism and to the important role that media played in advancing social change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The engagement also provided an opportunity for media partners to share their perspectives on the challenges they faced in accessing and verifying programme information. It allowed them to identify practical ways FAWE Liberia could improve its engagement with the media. This two-way dialogue was essential to building a relationship based on mutual respect, transparency and shared objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session was not merely a briefing; it was a collaborative conversation that recognised the expertise and experiences of media professionals. By listening to their insights, FAWE Liberia demonstrated its commitment to continuous improvement and to fostering partnerships that were both effective and sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FAWE Liberia recognised the media as an important partner in amplifying stories, informing the public and increasing awareness of initiatives that promoted gender equity and access to quality education. The engagement reaffirmed this recognition and set the stage for continued collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FAWE Liberia looked forward to continued collaboration with its media partners to ensure that the stories of its programmes and participants were communicated accurately, responsibly and with dignity.
