On 16 June, FAWE-B\u00e9nin will celebrate thirty years of unwavering commitment, action, and impact in favour of girls\u2019 and women\u2019s education, leadership, and empowerment across the country. The landmark anniversary, marked under the jubilant banner *\u201c30 ans, \u00e7a se c\u00e9l\u00e8bre !\u201d* (Thirty years, worth celebrating!), will bring together stakeholders, partners, alumni, and beneficiaries to honour a legacy of transformative change and to chart the course for the decades ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its establishment in 1994, FAWE-B\u00e9nin has worked at the forefront of gender equality in education, implementing innovative programmes that have opened school doors for thousands of girls, trained teachers in gender-responsive pedagogy, established Tuseme clubs that amplify girls\u2019 voices, and advocated for policies that remove barriers to female participation at all levels of the education system. Over three decades, the chapter has grown into a trusted partner of the Government of B\u00e9nin, civil society, and international development organisations, consistently demonstrating that investing in girls\u2019 education yields dividends not only for individuals but for entire communities and the nation as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming celebration on 16 June will serve as both a moment of reflection and a recommitment to the mission ahead. FAWE-B\u00e9nin intends to showcase the milestones achieved over thirty years\u2014from increased school enrolment and retention rates for girls, to the emergence of confident young women leaders who now occupy spaces in politics, science, business, and academia. The event will also provide a platform to honour the visionaries, educators, volunteers, and partners who made this journey possible, while engaging a new generation of advocates who will carry the torch forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
