The visit also provided an opportunity to officially introduce the FAWE Africa Board Representative and share updates on FAWE Gambia\u2019s ongoing programmes and achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister warmly welcomed the delegation, commending FAWE Gambia for its long-standing contribution to advancing education for women and girls. She underscored the importance of sustaining mentorship initiatives and emphasized the inclusion of boys in programming\u2014highlighting a shared commitment to inclusive and gender-transformative education<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The engagement resulted in several key outcomes that further strengthen FAWE\u2019s institutional positioning in the country:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)<\/strong> to formalize collaboration<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Submission of a proposal<\/strong> to enhance strategic partnership with the Ministry<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Review of government subvention<\/strong> to support programme implementation<br>\u2714\ufe0f <strong>Secondment of two staff members<\/strong> to reinforce FAWE Gambia\u2019s operational capacity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation also extended invitations to key upcoming milestones, including the FAWE Gambia General Assembly in June and the FAWE Africa General Assembly and Girls\u2019 Conference scheduled for November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This engagement in The Gambia is part of a broader effort across the FAWE network to strengthen institutional anchoring at national level.
