The Forum for African Women Educationalists convened its 81st Board Meeting<\/strong>, bringing together Board Members to provide strategic oversight and direction for the organisation\u2019s work across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This high-level governance platform reflected FAWE\u2019s continued commitment to strong leadership, institutional accountability, and forward-looking strategy as it advances gender-transformative education across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 81st Board Meeting serves as a critical moment for reflection, decision-making, and strategic alignment. It enables FAWE leadership to assess progress, guide priorities, and reinforce the organisation\u2019s mission of expanding access to quality education for girls and young women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through such governance engagements, FAWE ensures that its programmes remain responsive, impactful, and aligned with evolving regional and global education agendas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held on the sidelines of the Board Meeting, FAWE also hosted a National Chapters Learning and Engagement Forum<\/strong> for countries implementing the FAWE\/Mastercard Foundation Phase II Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This unique convening brought together Board Members and Executive Directors from 10 implementing countries, creating a dynamic space for dialogue between governance and programme implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By connecting strategic leadership with on-the-ground experiences, FAWE is strengthening the link between policy direction and practical delivery\u2014ensuring that decisions are informed by real-time insights and country-level realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forum offered a valuable opportunity for participants to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing A\u00efcha Bah Diallo, Chairperson of the FAWE Africa Board, Simone de Comarmond delivered a strong call for enhanced collaboration, shared accountability, and collective leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her message emphasized the importance of working together across all levels of the organisation to drive impact at scale\u2014particularly as the Phase II Programme continues to expand across multiple countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As FAWE moves forward, the organisation remains focused on strengthening resilient education systems that create sustainable opportunities for young women and men to learn, lead, and thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
