Dakar, November 13, 2025, FAWE Senegal celebrated a major milestone with the official launch of its 2024\u20132028 Strategic Plan and the FAWE\/Mastercard Foundation Phase II Programme during a high-level event held at Magic Land, Dakar. The ceremony brought together government officials, education leaders, development partners, and young beneficiaries, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing girls\u2019 education and skills development in Senegal.
\nA Ceremony Marked by Engagement and National Pride
\nGuests were welcomed with vibrant performances from the Ch\u0153ur Alegria as participants registered and explored interactive photo booths. The atmosphere grew even more symbolic with the arrival of the Guest of Honour, followed by the Senegalese national anthem and the FAWE anthem beautifully performed by students of Lyc\u00e9e Aminata Sow Fall, beneficiaries of FAWE\u2019s IFFEFA project.
\nThe highlight of the opening segment was the unveiling of FAWE Senegal\u2019s new logo, followed by a group photo that captured the diversity and unity of all partners in attendance.
\nPresenting the Roadmap for Change: FAWE Senegal Strategic Plan 2024\u20132028
\nIn her keynote presentation, Mme Mamouna Souar\u00e9 Fofana, Acting Executive Director of FAWE Senegal, outlined the vision and priorities of the new 2024\u20132028 Strategic Plan. She emphasized FAWE Senegal\u2019s renewed focus on:
\n\u2022 Strengthening gender-responsive pedagogy
\n\u2022 Expanding access to STEM and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for girls
\n\u2022 Deepening partnerships with government, schools, and communities
\n\u2022 Enhancing monitoring, evaluation, and evidence-based advocacy
\nShe also presented the core components of the Phase II FAWE\u2013Mastercard Foundation Programme, designed to support girls and young women in acquiring the 21st-century skills needed to transition successfully into employment and entrepreneurship.
