The commemorative event brought together education leaders, policymakers, and civil society to reflect on progress and chart the path forward for girls\u2019 education.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Martha Muhwezi, Executive Director of FAWE Africa, delivered a powerful keynote address calling for bold investments in girls\u2019 education. \u201cEducation is not a privilege for the few; it is a right for all,\u201d she said, underscoring the need for stronger implementation of inclusive policies such as Sierra Leone\u2019s Radical Inclusion framework and the importance of local resource mobilization.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the visit, the FAWE Sierra Leone team, together with Dr. Muhwezi, hosted Hon. Dr. Isata Mahoi, Minister for Gender and Children\u2019s Affairs. The meeting reaffirmed FAWE\u2019s commitment to cross-sector collaboration in promoting gender-responsive education.<\/p>\n<p>In a related effort, FAWE also met with the Association of Language and Literacy Educators Reading Sierra Leone (TALLE RSL). FAWE Sierra Leone\u2019s Gender Responsive Pedagogy training has been instrumental in shaping TALLE RSL\u2019s programming.
