The FAWE RS team attended the SHARE Knowledge Exchange Workshop in Uganda, a pivotal event aimed at fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and strengthening partnerships in the pursuit of advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). As part of this visit, the team made a significant stop at the SRHR Alliance Office, where they met with the Country Director (pictured in red) and engaged in fruitful discussions about their ongoing collaboration under the Make Way Program.<\/p>\n
The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable achievements made over the past three years through the Make Way Program. This initiative has been instrumental in breaking down barriers to SRHR for marginalized and vulnerable communities, particularly adolescents and young people. The FAWE RS team and the SRHR Alliance discussed the program\u2019s impact, lessons learned, and strategies for scaling up efforts to ensure even greater reach and effectiveness.<\/p>\n
In addition to reviewing the progress of the Make Way Program, the team explored new opportunities for collaboration under the AMPLIFY Change Call. This joint initiative, which opened in February 2025, aims to amplify voices, advocate for policy change, and strengthen community-led SRHR interventions. The discussions highlighted the shared commitment of both organizations to drive transformative change and create a more inclusive and equitable society.<\/p>\n
The FAWE RS team also scheduled meetings with other SRHR Alliance partners involved in the Make Way Program. These sessions focused on reviewing implementation progress, addressing challenges, and strategizing for the next phase of the program.<\/p>\n
This visit underscored the importance of collaboration and partnership in advancing SRHR. By working together, FAWE RS and the SRHR Alliance are not only achieving tangible results but also building a foundation for sustainable change. The SHARE Knowledge Exchange Workshop is a testament to the power of collective action and the shared vision of a world where everyone can exercise their sexual and reproductive health rights freely and without discrimination.<\/p>\n
