The third born in a family of six is the only person in her family to have received a university education.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing high school, she had lost hope of ever enrolling for tertiary education. She would have resigned to a different fate had it not been for Beautiful World Canada which is supporting Rwandan girls from poor families who did not score high grades to get the Government of Rwanda scholarship. With this support, she was able to enroll for a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Information Technology at IPRC Kigali.<\/p>\n<p>She vividly remembers how growing up from a poor family made her humble, something that has shaped her conduct. She currently serves as the Minister of Gender at The Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC) Kigali.<\/p>\n<p>Gloria learned about Beautiful World Canada scholarships through her mate who had received similar support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope to inspire other deprived girls in my family and community. Self-belief and hard work are key.\u201d She says.<\/p>\n<p>Gloria\u2019s story serves to inspire other girls in Rwanda who still think that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is a preserve of boys.
