advocate for the re-entry of girls back to school during and after COVID-19 19. The programme started on 1st September 2022 and has an end date of 28th February 2025. It was necessitated by a surge in teen pregnancy during the Covid pandemic, which saw 15% of girls aged 15-19 years get Pregnant. It\u2019s implemented in 20 counties in Kenya<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">with a focus on re-entering 5000 teen mothers back to school whilst influencing policies that support girls. The counties include Nakuru, Nairobi, Machakos, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Kiambu, Garissa, Bungoma, Kakamega, Nyeri, Migori, Murang\u2019a, Kajiado, Narok, Homabay, Trans-Nzoia, Nyandarua, Busia, Meru, Siaya, and Turkana.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The success of the programmes is majorly credited to the major partners, including The Mastercard Foundation, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Centre for Rights Education Awareness (CREAW), Kenya Redcross Society, FAWE Regional Secretariat, and FAWE Kenya Chapter. They work in unison to ensure that the programme implementation is taken care of and that everything runs smoothly. FAWE is the prime partner, supporting the other implementing partners with technical expertise in program implementation and financial management. The report was launched in October 2024 together with 218 development partners and government Ministries of Education, Gender Children, and Social Services.
