Shem is responsible for designing and delivering knowledge management strategies and infrastructure for FAWE that will allow to develop, capture and share best practices from the strategic initiatives. He supports in information gathering, data management, quality assurance and reporting processes. In addition, he provides support in generating knowledge products and strengthen data and resource utilization that will enhance decision making and influence FAWE key stakeholders to contribute to girl’s education agenda in Africa.
Before joining FAWE Africa, Shem was a Research Coordinator at Basal Consultancy Limited, also worked at African Population and health Research Center (APHRC) in the NUHDSS Project, Center for Research and innovation East Africa(CRI-EA) at various capacities as a specialist in M&E, Reporting, Adaptive Learning, Research, Knowledge Management and Communications with 10 years of professional experience supporting development interventions across multiple sectors, including Climate Change, Social Accountability, Livelihoods, Health, WASH, Conflict and Education programming. Key qualifications include program design, Data management, Project Evaluation, Baseline Assessments, Sampling Methods, Quality Control, Supervisory & Management, Report Writing, Data Analysis and ODK.
Shem holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from The University of Nairobi. In addition, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology & Communication from the same University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts, in Monitoring and Evaluation of Population and Development Programmes from the same institution.
