FAWE gender in higher education focal point appointed Minister of Women’s Affairs of Cameroon

Professor Marie Therese Obama who serves as the focal point for FAWE’s gender in higher education initiative at Université de Yaounde I in Cameroon has been appointed Minister for the Women and Family Affairs of Cameroon.

FAWE launched a two-year initiative on African women in higher education in Africa in February 2009. The aim of the objective is to enable access, professional development and promotion of women in higher education through gender-responsive research, innovative advocacy strategies and leadership training.
