FAWE Executive Director Dr Codou Diaw will be part of an advisory group on primary education attending a workshop on primary education hosted by Plan International in Bristol, UK, from 6 to 9 April 2009.

The workshop will deliberate on global trends and priorities of key actors in primary education. It will also discuss and seek to understand the strategic implications of the findings of Plan’s thematic evaluation on primary education. Finally, it will seek consensus on strategic priorities and key strategies for Plan’s support to primary education.

Key topics to be discussed by the advisory group will include global trends and actors in primary education; priorities and strategies of international NGOs in primary education; and the right to education – quality, inclusion and accountability.
