MCF Scholar Program Launch in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Wednesday, 18 March 2015

In partnership with The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, FAWE launched a ten year national level scholarship program in Ethiopia on February 28th 2015.

The partnership provides a comprehensive scholarship package to 600 girls and 200 boys. The program targets those who are academically promising and are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds thereby enabling them to access quality education throughout upper secondary and the majority of these in tertiary education.

This scholarship package not only responds to the Scholars’ economic challenge but also includes an array of support and enrichment services like tutoring, mentoring, transition support, leadership training and networking that will ease their transition to university.
