International Day for Women and Girls in Science Roundtable meeting

11 February 2017

FAWE will join the rest of the world to mark the International Day for Women and Girls in Science slated for 11th February 2017. In this regard, FAWE will take part in a round table discussion organized by UNESCO, NACOSTI and African Women in Science and Engineering (AWSE) on 11th February 2017 at UN complex, Nairobi. The agreed topic of discussion is “Gender Equality in Science: Myths, reality and future perspectives. “

The main objective of the Round table is to provide a platform for prominent Kenyan Women Scientists and Engineers to deliberate on the issues affecting women and girls in Science and Engineering fields in Kenya and how these issues can be mitigated to ensure realization of the sustainable development goals, particularly goal 5 on Gender Equality.
