Communication Officer

Eric upholds and enhances the brand and visibility of the organization, promotes communication both within the Regional Secretariat and among the National Chapters and fosters information dissemination and knowledge sharing on the status of girls’ education to inform programme planning and implementation. He actively supports the communications components of programmes under FAWE’s implementation.
Eric previously worked at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN–Habitat) where he supported communications at the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), an alliance of international partners contributing to poverty alleviation through increased access to land and tenure security for all.
Eric brings on board several years’ experience in development work having served with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), African Union’s Interafrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) and the French Agency for Development (Agence Française de Développment |AFD-PROPARCO). The respective communication domains worked in are infrastructure development, livestock development, food security and land tenure security.
Eric holds a Masters degree in Media and Communication from the University of Leicester, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Moi University, Kenya. He holds a United Nations French Language Proficiency Examination certificate among several others issued by Alliance Française, Paris.
