FAWE committed to intensifying policy impact through collective advocacy and communication related to School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) in August 2014 by joining The Global Working Group, comprised of more than 30 of the leading international agencies, civil society organizations and institutions promoting girls’ education and gender equality. It is co-hosted by the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI) and UNESCO. The Global Working Group through strong collaboration between the members aims to advocate by ensuring that schools remain safe places for learning and that girls and boys have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and resources they need to reach their potential.
